Happy Easter to all! I didn’t grow up in a particularly religious home, so for me Easter was more about colored eggs and jelly beans than church, though we did go on Easter morning, but I do remember the chocolate eggs and bunnies, especially from See’s Candy. I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter, however you choose to observe it.

That is a lovely illustration. My family was very religious but now I don’t observe any religion. I enjoy Christmas and Christmas Carols especially, but I usually ignore Easter Sunday. I am sure that was a bit different when my son was young, with Easter baskets and such.
Hope you have a good Easter.
Thanks, Tracy, you too.
I was forced to go to church as a kid but as soon as I could I stopped. I still observe Xmas and the like as a civilian holiday but not things like Ash Wednesday or Kwanzaa.
I don’t “observe” any religious days either, Bob. But I thought it an opportunity for a post.
Wishing you and Barbara all the chocolate eggs, jelly beans, and fuzzy little bunnies you can tolerate.
No bunnies here, nor the other stuff, we’re on diets!
Lovely illustration. Have a peaceful day.
Thank you, Patti. I’ve always liked the Beatrix Potter watercolors. Hope your day is peaceful too.
Happy Easter. This is one of those years we get every so often when Good Friday coincides exactly with the first night of Passover. I can remember a year when we were first married and living downtown in a very Italian Catholic neighborhood (as it was then), having Jackie’s family over for the Seder, as we did then, and looking out the window and seeing a procession go down the block with a guy carrying a huge cross.
Quite the juxtaposition, let me tell you.
Not knowing what that stuff is, I guess so! Enjoy the day.
My family was religious, but like Cap’n Bob, I managed to slip away. I remember dyeing eggs and waking up to chocolate bunnies and chocolate eggs in my Easter basket as a kid. But, this morning we woke up to 32 degrees and snow flakes. More like Christmas than Easter! Have fun with the bunnies!
No bunnies here! 42 and clear, maybe rain tonight. Ham and salad for eats.
You betcha.
