Happy Earth Day to everyone!
I hope your day is filled with trees, shrubs, and plants of all kinds on this day. Here in Portland, Oregon it’s sunny with a high of 72°. Here are some pictures from our garden. Click on each to enlarge.

All the flowers around here are buried in snow. We woke up to 30 degree temperatures (wind chill 20 degrees).
Yes, I saw the pictures. It’s still Earth Day, though, so do something good for the planet if you can.
Nice. We have flowers on the trees (though many are falling off already) and plenty of daffodils and tulips everywhere on our walks. We’re not nearly as cold as George is, but it is definitely a chill in the air – currently 41, but it feels like 32. A warm up to 70 is coming, either Saturday or next week.
Hope your weather gets better soon, Jeff. Meanwhile, less consuming, more recycling is our mantra.
I just heard the radio saying we could be near 80 by next Wednesday. He also said today would be “the coldest day until Fall,” so that’s good (if he’s right).
Enjoy your warmth. I happen to be one of those people who prefer it cool. 80 is about as hot as I ever like it, so I suffer in the Summer. I’d be perfectly happy if it never got above 75. Not that I like it in the 20s or anything…
Lovely plants, lovely photos. What is the plant with the white flowers? I agree with you, anything over 80 is too hot.
Not white, yellow. That’s our yellow Rhododendron. The blue one in 2 photos is Azalea “Crater Lake”. It’s a star this year.
I took Molly to the park earlier but there were no roses blooming and not many ducks. I saw four turtles whereas I saw 22 the last time I was there a couple of weeks ago. Your flowers look great.
Thanks, Bob. There was a song, right? “Where Have All the Turtles Gone”….
