Yes, I’m staying home, sheltering in place and keeping social distancing. But I’m not in “lockdown”, a term that brings prison to mind. I hate that expression and prefer it not to be used, thank you very much!
Meanwhile, it’s a drizzly day, temperatures in the low sixties, I had a nice breakfast and now I’m enjoying a second cup of coffee while I curl up with the book I’m reading. I hope you’re also having a relaxing, mellow Saturday morning. Enjoy your day!
Tip the Wink 
We are having an overcast day but no rain or drizzle. We could use all the moisture we can get but don’t know whether to expect more this month. We went out for a walk on the bike path near our home. Not very picturesque but we did take photos and enjoy getting out.

I don’t like the term lockdown. Makes it sound like you can’t leave your home at all. Weather here warmer today, about 50 and partly cloudy. Was going to go for a walk but it’s extremely windy out and makes it seem cooler.
I agree, but the media seem to like the expression, and I’m seeing it both locally and in the NY Times, Washington Post on CNN and other places. Wind bothers me too.
We had a little light rain this morning. And it’s about ten degrees colder than normal, but the sun is partly out and it seems pleasant. No, we aren’t going out. No one here uses “lockdown” either, as far as I am aware. Just stay home, at least as much as possible. This is a very dog-friendly building (in a dog-friendly neighborhood), so there are always people walking dogs. Five of the nine apartments on our floor have one or two dogs. I did do the laundry this morning, and though another machine was going, I didn’t see anyone while I was downstairs. Looks like there have been a lot more books donated to the laundry room library since I last looked.
As I said to Steve, the term is being used more frequently of late. I used to hear it about schools when something dangerous was happening nearby, but it seems to be now used about sheltering in place.
I don’t like “lockdown”. We can leave our homes – go to the grocery story, go for a walk, do essential shopping, go get take-out food, go to the laundromat. I’m doing “Stay at home”, and i LOVE it. i am telecommuting, so no commute and I can work barefoot, i have a great view of the neighborhood from my living room since our apt is on the 3rd floor and up on a hill. since I have extra time on my hands (no commute!) I’ve been able to make elaborate meals and make more bread and other things from scratch. I feel terrible, but i am loving stay-at-home. We got take out from our favorite Chinese restaurant the other night, they said they’ve never been so busy.
Sounds like a nice view! I have been seeing some posts where people show the view from their window while they are staying at home. Cool. It’s neat that your saving – what? – two hours a day commuting? Again, cool.
2 hours, minimum, each day. somehow it feels like i’ve gained more like 6 hours a day!
Some prisoners are being released, so sounding like prison shouldn’t be that objectionable.
Objectionable to me, but then I like where I am, and that wouldn’t be the case…
