Monday: Both of us have the flu, in spite of our having gotten our high-dose flu shots.
Drat.
Wednesday: still sick as a dog. Sleeping most of the time. Phooey.

Hope you feel better soon!
Very sorry to hear that, Rick. I do hope it doesn’t take long to recover.
Ugh, I’m so sorry to hear that. It is especially cruel to get it having taken the time to get the shot meant to prevent it.
Watch out for the coronavirus!
Exactly twice in my life so far I’ve gotten a flu shot. In 1994 and this past December. Got the worst case of flu so far in ’94, and the most persistent cold-like thing this time. I’m taking this as a sign.
I get one every year and usually don’t get the flu. I know I shouldn’t say that.
Bummer. Sorry to hear that. Jackie had the flu once when she was teaching. We’ve had shots the last several years, also pneumonia shots and both sets of Shingles vaccine.
So far, so good as far as that goes, though Jackie did get bronchitis again two years ago.
Yeah, we’ve had all that too. This is the first nasty cold/flu thing in years. My oh so helpful Dr. says it’s probably a virus so nothing he can do. Plenty of liquids and rest is the prescription. But man, this headache (4th day) is awful.
Richard, hope you both get well soon. People in India get flu throughout the year and yet flu shots are almost unheard of.
