I may be off the ‘net for a few days; my computer needs a part replacement: the sound output jack, of all things. Not a big deal, except my external speakers work off it, and that’s mostly where I listen to music, in system and on CDs. I’ve never had a output jack fail on any piece of equipment I’ve ever owned.
So off to Apple in a few hours, who may fix it in ten minutes or three days. Who knows?
Quality manufacturing seems to be a thing of the past. And, no one wants to do repairs…they just want to “replace” instead. Good luck at the Apple Store.
Right. Every time we pass an Apple store at a mall the place seems to be packed.
I think that’s mainly buyers and looks-loos, Jeff, but the Genius Bar does a steady business too, mostly people who don’t know how to do something.
