How wonderful to have snow for Christmas. Merry Christmas to you!
We are still having a wildfire here, but now it is 86% contained, which is fantastic, so things are looking up.
Thanks, Tracy, here’s hoping those winds die and the fire along with it. Hope your holiday is super.
And the same to you and Barbara, RIck We had decent weather yesterday. Went to the city and saw a matinee (though it was kind of a downer show for Christmas, THE CHILDREN). It was dry and 41, though no sun. Despite the weatherman turning contortions to convince himself (and us) that overnight night would change over to snow before ending, there was no chance of that, as it was (1) much too warm, and (2) so little rain that it made no impact, It is nice and sunny today, though it’s supposed to be very windy. And we could get a snowstorm this weekend, which would NOT be a good thing.
/end weather update
Always glad to hear about the weather, Jeff. We’ve had a great Christmas (breakfast eaten, gifts opened, now Barbara is sorting the recyclable packages and paper from the just toss. I got a couple of books, a couple of shirts, a keyboard cleaning set. Hope that snow storm holds off.
I just came in from snowblowing the driveway (one of my kind neighbors snowblowed everyone’s sidewalks for Christmas!). It’s 23 degrees but with the 50 mph wind gusts if feels like 7 degrees! The wind is swirling so I got a face full of blowing snow a couple of times (not fun!). The cold and snow are supposed to hang around all week. We plan on getting a lot of TV watching and reading done until there’s a thaw. Merry Christmas everyone!
You usually do the neighbor’s walks, so nice not to have to this year. Face full of snow sounds bad. Enjoy that warm cozy time inside. Happy Christmas to Diane, too.
We’re getting the wind down here too. When I was doing the laundry I met several neighbors who’d been out walking their dogs, and they all commented on the wind, My next door neighbor said when she was out with the dog this morning, there were things blowing off the building next door. It’s a beautiful looking day, but the wind makes it less so,
Wishing you and Barbara the merriest of holidays!
Thanks, Jerry. Same back at you. Did you get any books?
Merry Christmas!! We have 6-7 inches of snow, looks like a Christmas card outside.
I started reading Nova by Delany, it’s incredible!
Cool, Nova is a pretty darn good one. That’s a lot of snow!
Had a wonderful Christmas, Rick, hope you and your family did as well. How fortunate you are to have a White Christmas. Don’t you love it when the snow actually begins on Christmas Eve? I do. Very satisfying reading weather. 🙂
Merry belated Christmas, and a slightly early Happy New Years, to you both. Hope 2018 is wonderful for you.
