A 19-inch is shown, our 16-inch looks the same. Yes, that’s Seahawks neon green!
We have a smallish lawn, and we’ve always used an old fashioned push mower. It’s the same kind of mower I used as a kid to mow the lawn at home. But the one we have was cheap and the blades are dull, the handle needed work, it was hard to push and the darn thing just didn’t work very well.
So little lawn or no, I decided we needed to step up to a small cordless electric. We decided on this one. It’s been assembled (very little to do, really) and is ready to roll as soon as the sun comes back out.
Now we can re-seed, top coat and feed and get the lawn back to emerald glory.
Sweet! That’s one job I’m glad I don’t have to do.
I was just thinking of how we’ve been stimulating the economy with tickets for 4 more Broadway and off-Broadway shows, plus a couple more concerts, not to mention a couple of short trips we have planned besides the big Road Trip to Toronto in October. Then there was the car in January. But in the house we are pretty much done for the moment, I hope.
Yep, I’ll bet those Broadway tickets are pricey, and the car…
We bought the washer and dryer, now the lawn mower, but really we’re fairy thrifty. Just look out when we go to a nursery or big plant sale, such as this coming Sunday. Fortunately, it’s cash only, so when we’re out of money, we’re done.
We are considering hiring a lawn service to mow our large lawn. Diane is planning on some trips to Florida and San Antonio to stimulate the economy.
Since you live on a large estate, a service makes sense, George. Getting out with Big Red in the winter is probably enough for your back, anyway.
I have 3.5 acres, but the 3 is a field that is just left as is. One of the neighbours usually cuts it for hay or silage late in the summer. But the other half acre is more than enough grass, too big for an electric mower, but last year we got a self-propelled petrol one. Worth it.
Would love a ride on, or maybe one of those automatic ones, but I’m not ready to stimulate the economy quite that much 🙂
I haven’t priced riding mowers, but they look cool in the commercials.
