  1. Bill Crider says:

Happy birthday! I’ll bet it doesn’t feel like 70 years have gone by.

  2. Richard says:

Not inside my head, no, but some mornings when I get up the body tells me it’s been even longer.

  3. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 70 is the new 60!

  4. Patti Abbott says:

Happy Birthday, Rick. Hope you are celebrating with a book-buying binge.

    • Richard says:

Not buying many, just a couple, but I got a couple as gifts. Probably wind up with 4 or so. I did not go to the County Library book sale today. I was afraid to.

  5. Jerry House says:

It’s gratifying to know that you are ages older than I am, Richard. (Well, maybe not ages but at least twelve months and four days.) Hope you are kicking up your heels, spreading your wild oats, painting the town red, or whatever it is old folks do on their birthday.

    Enjoy the day.

    • Richard says:

In my case, Jerry, it was open a couple presents, go out to lunch, have a cup of joe, wobble out to get the mail, and now I’m looking at the blog. Tonight, Monday Night Football, and early to bed to get my beauty sleep.

  6. Jeff Meyerson says:

    Happy Birthday, old timer.

Just kidding! You’re only a few years ahead of me. Hope it was a good one. What did you have for lunch? Anything exciting?

  7. Cap'n Bob says:

Happy birthday, a date you share with my girl Stephanie. She’s 26 today.

  8. Comgratulations chum – that is a very handsome number indeed – keep it up sport 🙂

  9. Happy Birthday, Richard! Health and Happiness to you and yours!

  10. Richard says:

Thanks, everyone, today it’s back in the routine, which is still mighty good.

  11. prettysinister says:

“Oh frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!” (I’m chortling in my joy.) Happy 70th! My sister celebrated the same day two weeks ago. Long life to all!

  12. Way to hang in there, pal. I hear 70 is the new 60!
