I don’t buy as much as I once did, but things do come in. Here are two from the last week or two.
Baldwin The Brave and Other Tales by David Peterson [Archaia Publishing, 2014 hardcover] – graphic novel / stories. I love Mouse Guard, and this is the latest volume of collected stories from the (far too) occasional comic. I savor these small books.
When the Song of the Angels Is Stilled – A Before Watson Novel by A. S. Croyle [MX Publishing 2015 trade paper, purchased new] – mystery, Sherlock Holmes pastiche. A review of this novel of Holmes before Watson caught my eye sufficiently for me to buy it. The library never seems to have this kind of thing, in spite of my requests. They probably know the circulation wouldn’t justify the cost. I have no idea if this is going to be good or not, but I’ll soon find out.
I need to read some more Mouse guard books. Enjoyed the ones I’ve seen.
I enjoy them, Charles, I just wish Petersen was a little speedier with his work, they take a long time between books.
And I seem to order more. Just got PURITY (Franzen) and several ebooks. Below a certain price point, I am a sucker.
Patti, I was buying the free or 99 cent ebooks, but have bought a few that were more. Still haven’t bought one over $6 though. I admit low price makes some books more tempting.
Oh yeah. I currently have over 350 ebooks and most were cheap or free.
Like Jeff, I have over 100 unread ebooks on my iPad. Most are free books.
